What StallPoint is

StallPoint gives home-based South African sellers a public page for their products, with a button that opens a WhatsApp chat to that seller. We are a listing and discovery tool — a better link for a seller to share. We are not a marketplace operator, a payment processor, or a party to any sale.

By browsing StallPoint or running a stall on it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use StallPoint.

Sales happen between you and the seller

Every order starts, happens, and ends directly between the buyer and the seller — on WhatsApp, not on StallPoint. We don't process payments, arrange delivery, take a cut, or see the conversation. Price, payment method, delivery, and any refund or exchange are agreed between the two of you.

That also means we can't resolve disputes about an order. If something goes wrong with a purchase, raise it with the seller directly. If you believe a stall is behaving dishonestly or unlawfully, tell us at hello@stallpoint.shop and we'll look at whether the stall should stay listed.

Your account and your stall

If you open a stall, you're responsible for:

  • Keeping your listing honest — real products, real prices, and photos you have the right to use.
  • Selling only what you may lawfully sell, and meeting any rules that apply to what you sell — for food sellers, that includes food-safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Your WhatsApp number and the conversations you have with customers.
  • Keeping your password safe. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.

Acceptable use

Don't use StallPoint to:

  • List anything unlawful, counterfeit, stolen, or dangerous.
  • Mislead buyers — fake photos, prices that aren't honored, or a stall pretending to be someone else's business.
  • Harass anyone, or collect other people's personal information.
  • Interfere with the service — scraping, probing, or working around review and safety measures.

Review, approval, and suspension

Every new stall is reviewed before it goes live, and we can decline a stall that doesn't meet these terms. A live stall can be unpublished or removed if it breaks these terms, if a credible complaint is upheld, or if it's inactive and misleading buyers. Where it's reasonable to do so, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem — but for serious cases (unlawful listings, fraud) we can act immediately.

Your content

Everything you upload — photos, stall descriptions, product details — stays yours. By putting it on StallPoint you give us permission to display it on your stall page and in places like city browse pages and the landing page, which is what makes your stall findable. If you delete your stall, that permission ends and your content is removed.

Our liability

StallPoint is provided as-is, free of charge. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be online or error-free, and we don't vouch for any seller's products. To the extent South African law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from a sale between a buyer and a seller, from a stall's content, or from the service being temporarily unavailable. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under South African consumer law that can't be excluded by agreement.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes that affect sellers will also be mentioned by email. Continuing to use StallPoint after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Contact and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Questions, complaints, or reports about a stall: hello@stallpoint.shop. How we handle personal information is covered separately in our privacy policy.
