Common questions

Short answers to the things sellers ask most. Can't find yours? Email hello@stallpoint.co.za.

How do I open a stall?

Sign up with your email, confirm it from the link we send, then fill in your stall details — name, city, WhatsApp number, and a few photos. New stalls are reviewed before they go live, usually within 24 hours. You'll see your stall's status ("Pending review" or "Live") on your dashboard.

How does the WhatsApp button work?

Every product on your stall has an "Order on WhatsApp" button. When a customer taps it, WhatsApp opens with a message to your number already typed out — naming the product and your stall. From there it's a normal WhatsApp chat: you agree on price, delivery, and payment directly with the customer. StallPoint never sits in the middle of the conversation.

How do I edit my stall or products?

Log in and go to your dashboard. "Your stall" is where you change your name, description, photos, city, and WhatsApp number. "Products" is where you add, edit, or remove products and mark them in or out of stock. Changes show on your public page as soon as you save.

What is order status reporting?

StallPoint counts how many different people tap your WhatsApp buttons, but it can't know whether a chat became a sale — only you know that. On the Orders page you can record each week how many of those taps became sales and how many didn't. It's optional, private to you, and turns your click numbers into an honest picture of how your stall is doing.

Does StallPoint take payments or a cut?

No. StallPoint is free, and payment happens the same way it always has — arranged between you and your customer on WhatsApp (cash, EFT, whatever works for you both). We never handle money.
